BCS (Isle of Man) is proud to announce their next event on the 13th September, focusing on the use of Microsoft technology for Business Intelligence. The event will be preceeded by a short AGM. The programme of events is as follows:

18:00 Allan Mitchell MVP
Allan will cover the business benefits of live management information as a data integration specialist with SQL Server Integration Services to support M&A systems integration, data cleansing (including regulatory compliance and cross-border data protection), data mining and visualisation.
As a SQL Azure Advisory Board member with Microsoft and co-author of “First to Market” by Wrox publishing, he knows all about cloud computing database analytics too.

Chris will “map” the Microsoft BI landscape, where Sharepoint 2010 fits in, and explain business benefits with a free tool Excel 2010 PowerPivot.
He is a SQL Server Analysis Services, Reporting Services and OLAP MDX specialist, co-author of “Expert Cube Development with SSAS 2008” and routinely helps multi-nationals in insurance, banking and online gambling significantly improve number crunching performance.

Session #4: VIP CPD @ Liverpool
As a follow up to the event for database specialists, committee members will host a VIP CPD session at the SQLbits.com conference in Liverpool, the most important SQL server event in Europe with 50+ speakers from Microsoft and official partners. Entry on Thursday 29th September and/or Friday 30th September will be subject to a 35 percent discount and entry on Saturday 1st October will be free. Sorry, first come first served!
